As Style Editor of The Knot, Lauren Kay scours the globe for of-the-minute wedding trends and design secrets. She enjoys writing about gorgeous paper, fresh blooms and tabletop wonders, like proper china and dazzling crystal.
Lauren’s accepted her first wedding role at age six. After a winning performance as a flower girl, she went on to star in many more weddings (including her own this November). She sold wedding stationery to excited couples and then bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses to blushing brides. Prior to that, she was an editor at a men’s magazine—she’s got the inside scoop on your groom, especially if he golfs.
Lauren maintains proper letters and fancy stationery are a must. She has strong affinity for good etiquette and red lipstick, and she thinks a good pair of heels can transform any day. Lauren lives in New York City with her soon-to-be-husband Adam.
